Puffin Books. 1980. Reprint paperback. Slim 4to. PRESENTATION COPY FROM SENDAK WITH AN ORIGINAL DRAWING OF MICKEY. Above the illustration, Sendak has written, "For the Runges with all my love" and below "Maurice Sendak May '82". Sendak worked at Glyndeboure in 1982, designing sets and costumes. Peter-Christoph Runge appeared in the opera designed by Sendak and they became friends. A very clean and fresh copy with slight signs of shelfwear.
