No markings or inscriptions, aeg, Through a period of mergers Asprey incorporated Sangorski & Sutcliffe and Zaehnsdorf's binderies, before being bought by Shepherds in 1998 who revived the Sangorski & Sutcliffe name. A fine binding from the premier British bookbinders of the period incorporating '1984' overlayed in contrasting morocco, and Japanese end papers.

"1984" is a dystopian novel set in a totalitarian society ruled by a party led by the enigmatic figure, Big Brother.
