The Crossing is the second novel in the Border Trilogy series by Cormac McCarthy. The story centers around a young man named Billy Parham who captures a wolf that has been preying on livestock and his journey across the border into Mexico. The novel explores themes of fate, suffering, and the pastoral versus the industrial world.
