Chandler's copy with his address stamp to front endpaper, variant binding in blue cloth. First British edition, hardcover, slight lean, light dampstain to front board near spine base, light browning to pages, light bumps to spine ends and bottom corners, otherwise solid, a VG copy in like dustjacket which has a dampstain to the base of the spine (only visible internally and at the bottom corner of the rear panel), some sunning to spine with red title lettering faded to near white, light wear to edges and a few short closed tears.

Playback is Raymond Chandler's final novel, involving the private detective Philip Marlowe as he uncovers a complex web of lies and deceit.
