The lid is inscribed 'PUZO | The Sicilian' in red ink, with 'Unrevised | Draft' written in pencil by the author below. Presented in a fleece-lined black quarter morocco clamshell box, with raised bands, gilt titles to spine, and black cloth over sides. Crisp, clean sheets, with no markings or corrections. The box is well handled, with numerous tape repairs. Very good. The second novel in the 'Godfather' series, following the original published in 1969. From the library of Bill Targ (1907-1999), editor-in-chief of G.P. Putnam's Sons between 1968 and 1978.
