Binding nice and tight and attractive. Endpapers cracked at the gutters both front and back, revealing a sliver of backing linen. Early ownership name signed in ink on front endpaper. Title page dated 1892. Copyright page dated 1891. No mention of any additional printings. 230 pages. 4 page facsimile poem at the front, without any tissue guard. Everything, including facsimile, printed in laid paper, not the glossier paper of the first printing. Nice and clean throughout, with no foxing or stains. According to the Myerson bibliography, the first printing of this series was 960 copies printed in October of 1891. The second printing (1,000 copies) came out in November 1891 with the date 1892 on the title page and several textual changes, which are all present in this copy. A third printing of 1,000 copies was printed in December and a fourth printing of another 1,000 immediately after, and a fifth printing of 500 copies just before the New Year. Myerson does not give any indication how we might tell the difference between the printings of November and December of 1891; there were no additional textual changes by which to tell them apart.
