Hardback. Size approx 8.5 x 5.75 inches. Uniformly bound in full cloth with paper labels on the spines. Top edges gilt. In good conditions. Some minor rubbing on edges, ends of spines a little chipped, with a few small marks. Volume I has small inch closed tear lower spine. Volume 12 has faint crease rear board. Paper labels have a nice antique patina and some rubbing or mildly chipped edges. Many pages are uncut/unopened. Small name inscription (E.M. Austin) on front endpaper hinge. Moderate foxing & pages rough cut throughout all. Else a tight and smart set. With coloured illustrations by C.E. and H.M. Brock.
