Two volumes bound in 3/4 dark red leather over cloth-covered boards, binding signed "Bayntun, Bath", top page edges gilt; Bound with both half-titles, First Editions, First issues with all points called for; 2-page publisher's book advertisement for Mrs. Gaskell's "Life of Charlotte Bronte" at end of Volume I; two sets of publisher's ads at end of Volume II: "Uniform Edition of the Works of Currer Bell", no date, 8 pages and "New and Standard Works published by Smith, Elder & Co." dated November, 1858, 16 pages. Set is FINE condition, without fault, maybe very slight tiny rubs at high points of the leather binding.
