Internally everything indicates that this is a second printing: 1) the title pages reads "Roberts Brothers 1892;" 2) pages are printed on laid paper with horizontal chain marks; 3) the copyright page has no statement of a later printing. But the spine of the book has a Little, Brown imprint at the base of the spine. This is the variant noted by Joel Myerson in note three on page 28 in his Dickinson bibliography: "The copy with the Little, Brown imprint goldstamped on the spine (MAJ) was bound after June 1898, when Roberts Brothers was purchased by Little, Brown and Company." Myerson had located this variant in only one library--I have not yet been able to find any reference to another copy, other than the one offered here.
