First edition (first printing, with no indications of later printings, a $4.95 price on the jacket flap, and seven titles on the rear flap, per Hanrahan's description). A near fine copy (a touch of spotting to the bottom edge of undyed book cloth) in a near fine dust jacket, with minor wear to the corners. This copy is signed on the front free endpaper. The jacket does not have a sticker for the Caldecott Honor.
