Housed in a custom quarter red morocco and cloth clamshell case. In recent years the few copies that have been on the market have usually been subject to extensive repair. While this copy exhibits some wear, it is totally unacquainted with the paper conservator's art. A scarce issue of what some consider the zenith of the modern hardboiled detective novel.
