A very handsome looking complete set of 25 vols of this the Centenary Edition including Rob Roy, Woodstock, St. Ronan's Well, Antiquary, Bride of Lammermoor,The Pirate, Kennilworth and Ivanhoe plus many more. All are in very sound bright condition, bound in decorative green cloth with gilt titles and motifs. Vol. one, "Waverley" is a tad rubbed at the bottom fore edge corner of the front board and spine head a little fraying, as are some of the other volumes in the set. A couple are slit along the hinge a little from the top of the spine but none severely so. Vol. One and a few of the other vols. have the name inscription of a John Williams neatly near to the start of the book. Clean pages throughout with a little toning, more especially at the page block edges. Make no mistake though, this is a lovely set in very collectable condition and rather scarce as a full set.
