Publisher's black cloth-effect paper over boards, lettered in gilt, pictorial dust-wrapper by Richard Chopping. No inscriptions, contents clean, edges slightly toned, outside of jacket is very clean with very little rubbing, reverse side has some toning/spotting commensurate with the climate. This copy was exported and sold by Fogarty's, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, with their ticket to pastedown, price clipped accordingly. Near fine. UK Cape editions of Fleming's best-selling James Bond series were imported by British overseas territories across the globe [Gilbert], as demonstrated by the present copy. Still trading, Fogarty's Bookshop was started in 1946 by Basil Fogarty in a basement shop in 59 Main Street (now Govan Mbeki Ave). The collection includes five short stories: 'From a View to a Kill', 'For Your Eyes Only', 'Quantum of Solace', 'Risico', and 'The Hildebrand Rarity'. It is notable for including elements that were adapted into the James Bond films.
