Provenance: from the estate of Roger Earnshaw, SF collector, well known at British conventions and fandom, who regularly attended author events and signings. Condition: a near fine book with just a little shelf wear showing gentle bumps in a near fine dust jacket which is price clipped but does not show any fading on the spine. Ringworld won the 1971 Hugo Award, as well as the Nebula and Locus Award. The novel is considered a science fiction classic. Interestingly, this UK edition is also the first hardback edition in English. In America itv was published as a paperback original by Ballantine. The story is currently being adapted as a TV-series with Alan Taylor slated to direct. First and Fine.
