A black ink ownership, and a blue ink Convent school inscription to flyleaf. Spotting and toning to edges and endpapers. Occasional light thumbing and creasing. Light rubbing to cloth with some white splashes to boards. Spine toned and gilt dulled, with a small white 'VI' to base denoting the Convent form number. Very good. The third volume of Dostoevsky's works translated by Garnett between 1912 and 1920, and notably not one of the titles translated into English by Frederick Whishaw in the 1880s.
