First edition of Cantos III - V bound with the "New Edition" of Cantos I and II -- a second edition printed in octavo the same year as the first so as to match the size of subsequently issued Cantos. [Wise vol. II, pp. 3-5]. Fairly freshly rebound by "Fitterer" in full brown leather with raised bands and gilt ruling on spine, gilt-stamped black-leather spine label; gilt harp ornaments on front and back covers, decorative endpapers, and all edges speckled; 227 + 218 pages with title pages and fly titles present as called for but lacking half title for "second" volume (Cantos III, IV, and V). Scattered foxing throughout otherwise near fine.

Don Juan is a long poem by Lord Byron, based on the legend of Don Juan, which Byron reverses, portraying Juan not as a womanizer but as someone easily seduced by women.
