Description

First edition of Cantos III - V bound with the "New Edition" of Cantos I and II -- a second edition printed in octavo the same year as the first so as to match the size of subsequently issued Cantos. [Wise vol. II, pp. 3-5]. Fairly freshly rebound by "Fitterer" in full brown leather with raised bands and gilt ruling on spine, gilt-stamped black-leather spine label; gilt harp ornaments on front and back covers, decorative endpapers, and all edges speckled; 227 + 218 pages with title pages and fly titles present as called for but lacking half title for "second" volume (Cantos III, IV, and V). Scattered foxing throughout otherwise near fine.
