Octavo (18cm); Myerson's B binding in medium grey cloth with beveled edges, with titling and decorative elements stamped in gilt on spine and front cover; top edge gilt; [viii],[3]-230,[2]pp, with the white silk ribbon marker bound in. Brief contemporary inscription (in ink) along the upper margin of the Contents leaf: "C.D. Burnett / from Miss Phelps / '91" (this printing publisher 14 November, 1891). Base of spine bumped, gently spine-sunned, showing modest external wear, some dust-soil to cloth, and a few small rubbed spots at lower spine, front joint, and lower right corner of front cover; upper rear board corner bumped (though still sharp); several dog-eared pages smoothed out, else contents are clean and complete; hinges sound; Very Good.
