The final book in Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh series introduces Tigger and the game of Poohsticks. It was published in the UK in three issues, comprising the regular trade issue, the present limited issue, and an extra-limited issue of 20 copies bound in vellum. Critics received the work with a delight tinged by sadness. "The Times Literary Supplement congratulated Milne on avoiding 'the temptation to repeat his successful formula mechanically', though it was 'sad to see the stories end'" (Thwaite, p. 336).
