The special large paper edition of 1892. Described as the five hundred and thirty Ninth thousand. Top edges gilt. Some light foxing in places. Front inner hinge weak. Bound in the special publishers binding of quarter green gilt lettered leather with leather titling label to upper cover and gilt decoration. Top of spine very slightly chipped and split. Some rubbing to top and bottom of spine. Sand coloured cloth boards somewhat darkened and rubbed, generally still a very good copy of a fragile binding. The book is very heavy so it is remarkable that it has stayed in one piece. This edition is by far the most difficult of all the edition's of Mrs. Beeton to find. The publishers says that this ornamental edition is for presentation as a Birthday gift for young ladies or as a wedding present. This very attractive edition is of great rarity. 1308 p.
