Description

Just a touch of rubbing to the corners of the dustjacket - see image. Book, also, has minor touch to two corners - hardley noticeable, but worth mentioning. ; Both book and dustjacket are in excellent condition - exceptions noted. Also worth noting is a pencilled inscription by previous owner on inside front cover, dated Oct 23rd 1946 - this is easily erased, but does give the book provenance. Overall, then, an extremely presentable copy of this classic "first American edition." ; 12mo 7" - 7" tall; 118 pages.

About Animal Farm

Animal Farm is an allegorical novella by George Orwell, first published in England on 17 August 1945. The book tells the story of a group of farm animals who revolt against their human farmer, hoping to create a society where animals can be equal, free, and just. However, the revolution is hijacked by the pigs, who become just as oppressive as the humans. Animal Farm is an allegory for the Russian Revolution and the subsequent Soviet Union.
