Page stock a little browned as usual, trace of spotting to spine as often, a very decent copy in the nicked and rubbed dust-jacket with some internal tape residue, a small scuff to the rear panel, and the usual fading at the spine. Despite all the above this remains a better than average copy of the author's masterpiece. The Sound and the Fury is not only Faulkner's literary masterpiece but also one the most acclaimed and admired novel of the twentieth century, ranking alongside Gatsby, and Grapes of Wrath, and The Sun Also Rises.
