First Edition/Second Printing stated "September 1931" on the copyright page. Hardcover. Very good book in a very good unclipped second state dust jacket. The blue cloth book, stamped in gold has some offsetting to the pastedowns while clean of any interior markings. The "Card Players" second state jacket is priced at $2.50 on the front flap with fading to the spine with some small chips and short tears to the edges. This Second state jacket appears after Boni left the publisher in 1930. The bottom of the jacket spine indicates "Liveright" as publisher while the first state of the Card Players jacket indicates "Boni and Liveright" as the publisher on the base of the spine.
