Published by George Allen & Unwin 1965. First Edition, later impressions. The Fellowship is a fourteenth impression in a twelfth impression jacket, The Two Towers plus The Return are both eleventh impressions in ninth impression jackets. George Allen & Unwin commonly reused surplus stock at the time, so these have more than likely been on from new. All the books are the same year 1965 printings and all are in very similar condition. Condition Dustjackets - all have similar levels of tanning to spine, all with original price in tact, all with a small stain to the spine, a couple of tears to the edges, a little chipping to the spine ends, some minor marks, generally tidy. The books are once again in very similar condition, with fresh bright covers, very bright gilt to spine, sharp corners, deep red top edges, the page blocks sag slightly. Endpapers with a hint of tanning, but otherwise very clean and bright pages and fold out maps. The Fellowship has no inscriptions. The Two Towers has a very small bump to the bottom corner of the front board, there is a previous owners name to the front free endpaper. The Return of The King has a slight lean, the same previous owners name to the front free endpaper, the pastedown has a bookseller tab. Overall very good books and good + dust jackets.
