All but one(a signed limited, 'Best of') warmnly inscribed to Mike and Mary Fitzsimmons. Mike Fitzsimmons with his first wife Barb were very involved in the genesis of the first Archon Convention in St Louis in the 1970s. His inscriptions reflect how important Mike and Barb and later Mary were to Haldeman. In 1976 he inscibed 'The Forever War' "For Michael Fitzsimmons MidAmerican 4 Sept 76 Joe Haldeman" then years later in another pen "For Mike and Mary -21 years later Can it be? (a cartouche) less hair but a lot more in Joe Haldeman" in his book "1968" "For Michael and Mary, for the help you gave me in Becoming a Civilian Again...Joe Haldeman" Haldeman was wounded in Vietnam.
