Signed by the author John Steinbeck on a card which has been professionally affixed to the half title page. Provenance of the signature: Purchased directly by us from PBA Galleries who stated that the card was from the estate of Steinbeck's personal assistant Nancy Pearson. Measuring approximately 8.25" x 5.5", with 619 numbered pages. Comes with a brand new facsimile (reproduction) dust jacket for protection and display. This book is in very good condition. Minor surface wear to the cloth boards. Minor staining to the edges of the textblock. Old bookstore sticker on the bottom of the front pastedown. Interior pages are clean.
