London: Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme and Brown, 1807. First edition. Cloth. Very Good. 6.5" by 4". None. A very scarce, first edition of the first volume of William Wordsworth's collected poems. Only 500 copies of this edition were printed, and therefore it is a particularly scarce work.  Volume I only. Complete. with the half-title and the erratum leaf to the rear. This copy has the full stop after 'Sonnets' to page 103. In near contemporary salmon cloth which has been rebacked with the original spine laid down. 'Poems, in Two Volumes' was printed following the success of Wordsworth's 'The Prelude' and his collaboration with Coleridge, 'Lyrical Ballads'. In a near contemporary full cloth binding. Rebacked, with the original boards preserved and the original spine laid down. Externally, very smart. A few marks to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Former owner's pencil notations to endpapers. Pages are bright with just the odd spot. Very Good
