Complete set of 12 hardback books, including 7 first printings, 10 with dustjackets. The non-first printings are Swallows & Amazons (1975 ex library), Swallowdale (1941/11th impression), Peter Duck (1950/22nd impression), We didn't mean to go to sea (1946 15th impression) and The Big Six (1948/9th impression). All the others are true firsts. Most have some foxing. Swallows & Amazons: reading copy, an ex library hardback, front endpaper excised, mark on rear endpaper but no other library marks, in an unclipped dustjacket which is chipped at the edges. Swallowdale: no inscriptions, dustjacket rubbed and worn with internal tape repairs at spine and foldovers. Peter Duck: no inscriptions, dustjacket tanned at spine. Winter holiday: no dustjacket, green boards worn at edges, splits at spine, spine pulled, 2 bookplates. Coot Club: no inscriptions, dustjacket chipped at foldovers and spine with an internal repair to top of spine. Pigeon post: no inscriptions, dustjacket chipped at foldovers and spine with an internal repair to top of spine, marks on back cover, relevant bookmark laid in. We didn't mean to go to sea: no dustjacket, green boards rubbed at edges, no inscriptions, front foldover from dustjacket laid in. Secret water: gift inscription on half title page, dustjacket has minor loss at foldovers and spine ends and short splits in both. Big Six: name and date on second front endpaper, dustjacket sunned at spine, old tape marks on back cover. Missie Lee: no inscriptions, dustjacket is from a 1955 reprint, spine faded and marks on both covers. The Picts: spine cocked, no inscriptions, dustjacket has a previous owners label on base of front foldover, spine ends chipped and is a typical World War 2 jacket reused from another book.
