According to the Errington bibliography of J. K. Rowling (A17.a), the print run was just 1750 copies. Next to the hardcover copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, this is the Rowling book with the smallest print run. According to the London Evening Standard (22 July 2013), the publisher ordered 140,000 copies from the printer after Rowling was identified as the author.
