Originally appearing in 1890, these two volumes comprise the fascinating account of Stanley s brave and adventurous expedition to bring Emin Pasha to freedom. A better than very good set, the dark green cloth fresh with modest wear (as usual) at spine extremities but with the gilt titles and gilt author s facsimile signature unusually fresh and splendidly bright, the set presents extremely well.
