Original second issue dust jacket with the photographer's credit present on the rear panel. Rare review copy with the review slip affixed to the half title page. Measures approximately 8.5" x 6", with 471 numbered pages. Book is in very good plus condition. Minor wear and a small stain on the bottom edge of the textblock. Front hinge is cracked. Pencil annotations on the front endpaper. Textblock is bright and well preserved. Dust jacket is in good condition. Moderate surface wear to the panels and spine. Some paper loss at the bottom of the spine where an old piece of tape or a sticker was removed. "For Whom the Bell Tolls" is one of Hemingway's biggest literary triumphs. Written in 1939 and finished in 1940, the first edition was published in October of that year, with a print run of 75,000 copies.…
