Signed and inscribed by Shel Silverstein on the front free endpaper to Dorothy Pfeiffer, the sister of actress Michelle Pfeiffer, with inscription reading "For Dorothy Margueritha Theresa Mullen Pfeiffer; A Name That is German and Catholic and Irish and Awfully Hard to Decipher; So Hell With It! For Dee, for the help she's given me – Love Shel." Bound in publisher's variant library binding of white boards stamped in black, with corresponding library library binding dust jacket sticker and pricing. Near Fine with some crackling to surface of cloth, and small stain to top of textblock edge. In a Near Fine dust jacket with top corner clipped and publisher's price present at bottom corner, with toning and light edge wear. The first edition is uncommon, especially so signed.
