Description

New York: Dodd, Mead & Company, 1940. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine. 8vo., 264pp, Beautiful First Edition with no other printings listed as called for. Bound in tan cloth with titles in red on front board and spine. Red top-stain. This the first edition with this title after the unfortunately named British edition published by Collins Crime Club the previous year. Square, tight and clean throughout with no toning or foxing. A touch of wear at the spine ends but quite minor. Top-stain and spine lettering a touch dulled but barely. Lacking the scarce dust-jacket. Arguably Christie's finest work and certainly among her most well-known, though the quite racist British title is a head-scratcher and almost as controversial then as now. A remarkably well-preserved copy and almost never seen in such high grade condition.

About And Then There Were None

One of Agatha Christie's most famous works, 'And Then There Were None' narrates the story of ten strangers invited to a distant island under different pretenses. Methodically, they are killed off according to an old nursery rhyme. With no way to escape and no one else on the island, the survivors quickly realize that the murderer is among them.
