Green cloth, lightly rubbed and bumped at the edges and corners, with gilt lettering on the spine and front board. Square, bound with some reading wear, a stain at the fore-edge, former owner's signature and name in pencil on the front endpaper, clean otherwise. The rare green-cloth third state of the first Tarzan novel. This copy comes from the collection of Joan Bledig, whose copy is mentioned in Zeuschner's bibliography. According to Zeuschner, there are believed to be only 1,200 copies in this state and almost no copies located in the green cloth. As of cataloguing, no auction records could be found of a green cloth copy being sold.
