This is a very nice book. The lettering is in gold gilt on the spine as well as the front cover, the fore edges are gold gilt also. There is a small b&w picture on the front cover of "The Strand Library," and b&w photos with naratives throughout. General shelfwear, darkened spine, the corners and spine edges are fraying, rubbing extremities, some pages are foxing, and the first two pages are detached but present, text block cracked.
