Description

Engr. title. Some foxing throughout, title particularly browned. Uncut in later cream boards, new paper label; sl. marked, recased. First published privately in 1813, and frequently pirated in the following years. Copac lists copies of this unauthorised edition at BL, Oxford, and Eton only. Queen Mab was Shelley's first long poem - he originally intended for it to be privately circulated because of controversial subject matter.

About Queen Mab

Queen Mab, A Philosophical Poem; With Notes, often referred to as Queen Mab, is the first large poetic work written by Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792–1822), the English Romantic poet. After substantial reworking, a portion of the text was later issued as The Daemon of the World.
