Second impression of the trade edition (without "first printing" statement on copyright page , see Crane A21.1) Signed and warmly inscribed by Robert Frost on the front free endpaper, "To the Fullers of Oregon from the Frost of Vermont March 1938 South Shaftsbury" Bound in publisher's red cloth lettered in gilt. Very Good with darkened spine; sunning to edges. Ethel Romig Fuller's bookplate on front free endpaper; Hotel Thomas Gainesville, Florida postcard, "Where I had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Frost. Mar, 8, 1938 E.R.F." Paper clip indent on front free endpaper and half-title; contents lightly tanned. A fantastic association copy from the library of Ethel Romig Fuller (1883-1965). Fuller was Oregon's third Poet Laureate, and the state's first female Poet Laureate. She was also editor of The Oregonian's poetry section from the early 1930s to the late 1950s.
