George Newnes, 1906. A first edition of the author's first adult book and one of his scarcest in first edition. Re-bound with the original decorative cloth from the front board laid over. Internally very good. Complete with frontis and three other illustrations by H.M. Brock.

A novel by P.G. Wodehouse, first published in 1906, 'Love Among the Chickens' marks the author's first attempt at a continuous story that involves the young and impecunious writer Jeremy Garnet who is persuaded by his friend Stanley Featherstonehaugh Ukridge to assist at an upstart chicken farm.
