Each volume is illustrated with a frontispiece and an engraved title page.Volumes one, three, four, six and seven are dated 1933. Volumes ten, eleven and twelve are dated 1934. Volumes two, eight and nine are undated.Volumes one to four contain 'Minstrelsy of the Scottish Border'. Volume six contains 'The Lay of the Last Minstrel' and a collection of ballads. Volume seven comprises of Marmion with a folding plate. Volume eight comprises 'Lady of the Lake.' Volume nine comprises 'Rokeby,' and 'The Vision of Don Roderick. Volume ten includes 'The Lord of the Isles.' Volume eleven contains 'The Bride of Triermain,' 'Harold Dauntless' and 'The Field of Waterloo' and some songs and miscellanies. Volume twelve comprises of dramatic pieces by Sir Walter Scott.A lovely collection of Walter Scott's classic Scottish poems. All are bound in half morocco with marbled boards. Externally, very smart with some light marks to some of the boards. Previous owner inscription to front free endpaper of volume eight and ten.
