This is the third state with mauve cloth, a 21 shilling price label and d/w flaps a slightly different size to the first black cloth state. The verso of the title page states 1962 with no reprint mentioned, ie exactly the same as the first edition, first impression. Fine in near fine dust jacket, with faint rubbing at edges. No inscriptions, not price-clipped.

A Clockwork Orange is a dystopian novel by English writer Anthony Burgess, published in 1962. It is set in a near-future society that has a youth subculture of extreme violence. The teenage protagonist, Alex, narrates his violent exploits and his experiences with state authorities intent on reforming him.
