Signed and inscribed by White on flyleaf to Harriet Walden, a co-worker at the New Yorker and dated June 1970. Full inscription reads, "For Harriet Walden, that brilliant secretary, good friend, and noble woman! from Andy White, N. Brooklin, ME June 1970. Signed as "Andy White" which White used with close associates. A fine presentation copy of White's classic novel. Book is fine; crisp, clean, sharp corners, no writing or bookplates. Dust jacket is very good plus with some light edge wear and two nicks along back top edge. Has bottom corner of left flap clipped, but price intact at top corner. One of only two presentation copies listed for sale in recent years…
