First U.S. appearance of 'The Waste Land'. This copy is complete with the Robert Delaunay 'St Severin' frontispiece causing the usual light offsetting to the first page of the text (p.473). Contributions by, inter alia, W.B. Yeats, Brancusi, Picasso and Pound. Wrappers chipped to corners and edges otherwise a firm, clean copy of the first issue of the first impression of 500 copies. This issue of The DIAL was actually published in late October 1922.
