First edition, first impression; the first issue in the author's beloved Arthurian sequence, The Once and Future King, with the scarce original dustwrapper. Good+: firm and square binding in presentable black cloth; pushed to the spine tips; rubbed to the bottom-edge with exposure at the corners; white spine lettering, slightly dulled; tanned to the edge of the page block with some dustiness to the top-edge; light foxing to the edge of the block, endpapers, and sporadically to the text; small stain to the ffep; crack to the binding at the rear endpapers, but not starting and no looseness at all; a nearly Very Good example. The original clipped dustwrapper is Fair: chipped to the spine tips and corners with a number of closed tears; rubbed to the front flap fold; some stabilisation to the verso with professional mending tissue; for all that, minimal toning and presents somewhat better than might be expected in a removable, archival-quality protective cover. All orders are sent very carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard.
