Bound in contemporary half-vellum/parchment over marbled paper boards, with leather title-labels to spines. All edges dyed red and waxed. Original title-pages all present, but lacking any half-titles or general title page. Toning and wear to spines; patches of loss to surface layer on spine of vol. I & III. Some light toning and off-setting to texts but generally very clean and bright; scattered foxing only. Old owner's engraved bookplate (of Weston B. Flint, engraved y H. E. Kellogg) inside front covers. Otherwise internally fine: clean, tight and unmarked. Very neat -- a sound and still handsome set.…
