Grey buckram with black ink panel and gilt lettering and rules on the spine. Square and firmly bound, clean internally. Roth's beloved novel of David's coming-of-age in Brooklyn, named one of the 100-best English-language novels since 1923 by TIME Magazine. This copy is inscribed to Hollywood producer Ed Spiegel. Alas, given that no adaptation of the novel exists, Spiegel did not succeed in the arduous journey from book to film.
