Sherlock Holmes Limited Editions Club Scarce complete eight volume set of The Limited Editions Club Sherlock Holmes, consisting of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Later Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and The Final Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Limited to 1500 total copies, this set being the editor's copies, which is noted in pen and blindstamped as a presentation copy to the colophon of each subset. "Sherlock Holmes" was limited to 15 such copies, the other two subsets were limited to 25. Housed in the original slipcases. New York: The Limited Editions Club, 1950-1952. Publisher's original pattered paper boards over black cloth spines lettered in gilt, black embossed cameos to each cover. Volumes in near fine condition, showing just traces of shelfwear. Slipcases are a bit worn and rubbed, but intact and sturdy.
