The Unvanquished is a novel by William Faulkner published in 1938. The novel is set in Mississippi during the American Civil War and the Reconstruction Era. It is part of Faulkner's Yoknapatawpha County saga and follows the Sartoris family as they navigate the changing social landscape of the South.
