First Edition, First Printing published in London. A fantastic copy. This copy is elegantly bound in a period morocco black letter with raised bands. The binding is tight with NO cocking or leaning and the boards are crisp with minor wear to the spine. The pages are clean with a Frederick Locker armorial bookplate and previous owner's name neatly written on a blank page before the title page. The pages are exceptionally clean with NO foxing in the book. A superb copy of the author's third and last book published in his lifetime. The Eve of St. Agnes is a romantic poem written by John Keats in 1819, published in 1820. This poem is written in Spenserian stanzas and is considered one of Keats's finest works. It tells the story of a young lady named Madeline and her romantic endeavor on the eve of St. Agnes.
