DJ browned to spine and edges, minor chipping to corners and spine ends, small splits to joints between spine and panels to foot, lower panel soiled. Some lifting of cloth to upper board, edges of text block lightly browned, with hint of foxing to top edge, a few light spots to endpapers, but internally generally fairly bright and clean. Presentation copy, inscribed by Greene to ffep "For Donald affectionately from Graham", with a textual correction by Greene to page 32, with 'Wyde' crossed through and 'wide' written in the margin.
