First edition, first printing with 1942 listed on the title page. Very Good, lacking the dust jacket. Cloth frayed and rubbed through at corners and spine ends, foxed heavily at spine and lighter so to covers, faded at spine, and with a small stain to rear cover. Previous owner name to front free end paper. Pages toned and with offsetting from images onto adjacent pages, lightly thumbed with light reading creases and several creased corners. A nice copy of this scarce Caldecott winner.
