Contemporary unsophisticated leather with gilt to spine: SKETCH BOOK / VOL. I. Foxing to endpapers; two ownership signatures to front free endpaper, and an older one dated 1820 to first title page. Joints split for an inch at head of spine; unrestored binding is sound. Leaves tanned; occasional spotting. It is worth noting that the Part I title page shown currently [March '18] on Wikipedia as first edition is not that of the first printing.
